Carrot Halwa Recipe – Gajar ka Halwa
Let’s have a look of step by step recipe of gajar ka halwa :-
Gajar ka halwa recipe using milk.
· Wash 500 grams carrot thoroughly in the running water. After this peel and grate the carrots finely.
· Now take a heavy bottom pan as this will help to prevent the halwa from burning.
· Now on low heat roast 6 almonds, 5 cashews, 10 pistachios until crunchy. Now take it out on a board and chop them.
· On the same pan add 2 cups of milk and heat it.
· Add grated carrots.

· Stir and cook it on medium. In order to prevent it from burning keep it stirring so that the halwa doesn’t stick at the bottom.
· Cook until the milk completely gets evaporated.
· Now add half cup sugar and mix well.
· As soon as the sugar melts and halwa turns to be gooey once again now add 1 tbsp of butter or ghee in it.
· Stir and cook it until the halwa thickens.
· Now add a pinch of cardamom powder to it.
Your tasty gajar ka halwa is ready to eat. You can garnish it with chopped nuts and it can be served hot or chilled.
Gajar Ka Halwa Full Carrot Halwa Recipe
Gajar ka halwa recipe using condensed milk –
· Wash 500 grams carrot thoroughly in the running water. After this peel and grate the carrots finely.
· Add half tbsp of ghee and heat the pan. Add half cup chopped nuts and fry until they become brown.
· Take them out on a plate.
· Now add grated carrots to the pan and saute them for 3-4 minutes.
· Now pour half cup of condensed milk to it and add 2 tbsp of extra condensed milk if in case required.
· Mix well and continue to cook on a medium flame.
· Carrots will begin to release moisture.
· Now cover the pan and cook until gajar turns soft and changes its colour.
· Add cardamom powder to it.
· Add 1.5 tbsp of ghee and saute until the nice and soft aroma comes out.
· Once all the milk evaporates then turn of the flame.
· Take out the halwa in a bowl and garnish it with cashews, pistachios and almonds.
