C-3PO’s were introduced by Kellogg’s in 1984 and resembled Cheerios for all intents and purposes, except the fact that they were framed like the number eight. C3P0 and his loyal companion, R2D2, were occupied with different interplanetary adventures, each with a dish of crunchy grain pieces. Each container included a film collectable, such as stickers of the film’s characters.
Unfortunately, even with one of history’s most visible robots as a pitchman, it wasn’t enough to conceal how C-3PO’s were an unsweetened grain that didn’t provide enough for our planet’s sugar-dependent children.
